A welcome from our
chapter president
Welcome Dallas area Alpha Xi Deltas to our new website. The
2011-12 officers have spent many hours last summer evaluating our programs and communication efforts and we are listening to your concerns and suggestions! We have invested into this website
and our Facebook page, and we hope that you will use them to get the latest information about our sisters and events that are planned to get us together for socializing and networking.
As President of the Dallas Alumnae I encourage each of you to get back in touch with the
group that meant so much to you during your college years. Attend one of the Alpha Xi events this year. I personally look forward to meeting you soon!

- First meeting of the
year/Salad supper and sock hop:
Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 7pm
- Location: Jan Zeigler's home
- Got a poodle skirt and saddle
oxfords? Roll up your jeans, put your hair in a pony tail.
Bring a salad that will serve at least twelve. Cherry
limeades, root beer floats, and jukebox provided!

- Wrap party for The Stewpot
Saturday School: Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 7:15pm
- Location: Suzanne Dwight’s home
- Please note that this month's
meeting will be on the fifth Tuesday of the month, to avoid
Thanksgiving week.
- This is a great chance to
visit and wrap gifts for the children the Stewpot shelter,
one of our philanthropies. Our own Suzanne Dwight works with
the Stewpot's children and youth. The children will be
presented with their gifts in December. Sigh up with Suzanne
to help with gift distribution on December 10 or the
Saturday School party on December 15
- What to bring:
- Bring a snack to share,
such as finger foods, chips, dip, etc.
- Bring a new unwrapped toy
for Our Children's House at Baylor (also our
philanthropy).
- Bring a few rolls of gift
wrap paper appropriate for children, scissors, and
Scotch tape.

- Holiday party: Saturday,
December 17, 2011 at 7:30pm
- Location: Marlene Gardner's

- Bring hors d'oeuvres or
dessert, BYOB per couple, and $2.50 per person for paper
goods, set-ups, etc. Each person also needs to bring a
wrapped $10 gift for the Chinese Gift Exchange.

- Smashing times (by paid

- Come build a custom mosaic
tile art project. Hostel Carol Buol will send details by
e-mail, evite. You will need to reserve a place by paying
the $25 fee ahead of time.

hostess, Deby Osmond by phone, e-vite, or e-mail. Please
note there's a minimum purchase of $15-20, as with previous
beading class events.
